Herbal Tinctures
Making medicines from organically grown and ethically wildcrafted FRESH plants is one of our more empowering delights of homesteading. Although we regard organic, home grown food as our first and most important preventative medicine, there are times when our herbal allies give purpose to be called upon.
We drink daily infusions of nettles and oatstraw for deep nourishment and whole system support. We also utilize a lovely array of infused honeys and alcohol-based tinctures for common colds, flu, congestion, sinus pressure, tummy aches, sleep disturbances, and more. As a seasoned community herbalist, Amy keeps a healthy list of additional tinctures on hand for clients needing specific support for chronic dis-eases.
Here is our current list of available tinctures (please keep in mind that ALL tinctures are made from FRESH plants that have harvested with care and respect in their prime. The plants that we work with are NEVER sourced out):
***TINCTURES ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ONLY THROUGH COMMUNITY TRADES & WORD OF MOUTH NEED.

Do you have a book? My daughter lives in Kan City and began sending me the emails from Dan @ Badseed from your farmer’s market. I found your web site from this, which I really like. How we need more of this of information! I wish I could be there for your presentations.
Do you have a nettle and oat straw blend or would I need separate tinctures? I would like to take these daily as well.
Thank you, K. Curtis

Hello there!
Unfortunately, I have not yet written a book, though it is in the future for me : ) I would suggest a phone consultation to discuss which herbs would be most effective for your individual health goals. Oat straw and nettles are traditionally made in infusion (very strong tea) form, not for tinctures (the actions obtained from tincture of nettle would be different than that of an infusion).
I would be happy to arrange an appointment with you if you’re interested in discussing this further. I am make custom blends from fresh harvested plants. Where is your location? I might be able to put you in touch with some herbal education resources for your area.
Thanks for your interest and take care!
In good health,
Amy

Arkansas’s not too far! I travel in the region when groups form to hire me for herbal weekends…ID hikes, workshops etc. Let me know if you’d like to explore that possibility! And just send me an email to set up a phone consultation : ) Good to know you!
